Beautiful, Colourful Summer Wedding at The Ashes Venue - Francesca & John
Throwback to 2014
I was putting together a Facebook post to celebrate my 10 years of photographing weddings and whilst I was doing so I spent a good few hours looking back at my previous weddings and studying how my style has developed over time. I discovered weddings that I hadn't previously showcased on my blog, mainly due to just being so busy shooting the weddings that the blogging took a bit of a sideline, as it does tend to do for a lot of wedding photographers when they are in the middle of a busy wedding season, but also because I changed blog platforms a couple of times before settling with my Squarespace site and somehow, some of my proudest moments had been locked away in the client galleries when really I would love to show people some of the beautiful weddings I have had the honour of photographing. I am super proud of this one.

The wedding of Francesca and John back in 2014 is a memorable one, firstly they were just lovely, lovely people and their day was perfect, just how they wanted it to be and secondly it was at The Ashes Exclusive Country House Wedding Venue, which is one of my favourite Staffordshire wedding venues! I have photographed quite a few weddings there so it is really nice to be able to show just how wonderful this venue actually is!
I have also included a few images from Francesca and John's pre wedding shoot which took place in the Shugborough Estate a few months before their beautiful barn wedding took place. Although rain threatened a few times on their wedding day, it was actually gorgeous weather and the guests enjoyed the beautiful gardens and outside spaces, complete with giant garden games, it was a wonderful wedding. I am really happy to be featured on the suppliers directory as an Ashes Exclusive Country house Wedding Venue Photographer.
I always advise my clients that a pre wedding shoot is particularly a good idea if you feel you might feel shy or awkward in front of the camera, however Francesca and John were immediately very natural and I think they found it easier than they had first imagined it would be.
Looking back at past weddings is really helpful to me as a wedding photographer, because it helps me to see how my business has been shaped by my wonderful clients. Really everything I have learned over the years has been taught to me by my clients, they have shown patience and trust towards me, I am always so honoured to be able to capture someone's wedding day, I will continue to love what I do and continue to strive to be the best I can be at what I do.
Here's my selection of wedding images from their day, please raise a glass to 10 years of weddings, that's 10 years of being happy in my job, I know I am really very lucky to be able to say that.
